I’ll admit my husband is usually last on the list to get my attention. My kids are first. Then I started working on doing things that are important for me. And now, I’m trying to focus on “we.”
I hate being away from the kids at night, so we really don’t go on dates. My husband and I both work flexible jobs, so I decided to take advantage of this and schedule time for us to work together. Today was the first day we actually did it.
We met for an hour or so at Starbucks, sipped our coffee, typed away on our laptops and barely looked at each other. But we sat at the same table and held hands as we walked out to our separate cars, so that counts for something, right?
Lesson learned from this post: Get creative and find ways to spend time with your partner. Eventually you’ll find the “date” that works best.
