Last Night I Wrote a Book: Princess Genevieve

Last night I wrote a book. I literally typed it on my phone in an hour or so while the kids were falling asleep watching TV. Then, I went on Etsy and found a graphic designer who could make me a character for the cover. And sent the book to my friend Kara to proofread and get her thoughts. Today I finished the draft and spoke with Book Baby about printing. And just like that, my goal of writing a children’s book will become reality in a few weeks!!!! Trash the dream. Live it instead. This is my motto.

This book is for Genevieve. It started out as a storybook favor I wanted to write for her upcoming 5th birthday party. We’re going with a princess theme and every princess needs her own story! I decided I should just go for it and print this as a real book. Life is short. If you want to do something, don’t wait, make it happen! I always have and it’s an important message I want to instill in my children.

I can’t wait to share with you all! While it’s very special and something I wanted my girl to have forever, as a reminder to always go for her goals, I am putting it out there for all young girls. Stay tuned for more about my NEW BOOK, Princess Genevieve!!

Yes, I also have a book for Luca in mind too! Who can guess what that will be about?!

Lesson learned from this post: Trash the dream, live it instead.
